We’re often asked by our clients whether blogging will make any difference to them and their sites and in truth, whilst we can assail them with all kind of stats about how much difference it makes, we often say that they should try it and see. Yes, there are stats out there telling you that sites that blog daily are 40 times more likely to get new business than those who don’t but….how do you know I haven’t just made that stat up? And could you prove it one way or the other, and would you want to?
Faced with all of this it’s no wonder that many clients look at blogging as a chore and most just simply don’t want to bother, or even pay someone to do it. After all a blog should represent you and your business and sets the tone of the business. Everything I write here reflects on Aqueous as an agency whether I like it or not.
So as a little test we’re going to do a daily blog like this every day for two weeks and compare it with the previous two weeks. Now this is hardly a true test in a controlled environment but the basic premise here is that having blogged only twice in the previous two weeks, let’s see if this effort makes a difference anywhere?
This post for example has taken me just 15 minutes to knock out (yes, I know, you can tell) and will probably be read by very few people (go on. I dare you to prove me wrong by reposting this…or leaving a comment below) but it is still a blog post. And as we integrate everything we do with Social media then this will be on Facebook and Twitter within seconds of me pressing publish.
And we’ll let you know how it goes!
