Aqueous are proud to support two worthy causes

Every now and again Aqueous like to give to charities that either mean something to us or strike a chord with the team in the office. This week we have been fortunate enough to be able to donate a small amount to two worthy causes.

.

Give - Charity ButtonThe first is a national charity, Cardiac Risk in the Young which is an organisation devoted to providing screening for young people. Everyone will be familiar with the case of Fabrice Muamba but whilst his was a high profile case there are many young people every year who have fatal cardiac arrests which with proper screening could be avoided.

.

Our support for this was prompted by the tireless fundraising being undertaken locally by a family who tragically lost their son to a sudden heart failure.

.

Our second cause this month is two London charities which will be gaining funds from a 10k walk through the city of London by a group of London lawyers. Fifty per cent of the money that they raise will go to London Legal Support Trust (LLST), which raises money for London law centres. These centres provide free legal advice to people who would otherwise be unable to afford it, and given the recent legal aid cuts, these centres are in desperate need of funds.

.

The remaining fifty per cent will go to the Disability Law Service which provides legal advice to disabled and Deaf people.
If you would like to donate to either of these charities please feel free to follow the links and donate.
